Pakistan officially activates ‘Gabd’ border terminal for trade

* The National Logistics Corporation of Pakistan has officially activated the ‘Gabd’ border terminal for trade between Pakistan and Central Asian countries.

* With the launch of this route under the TIR (TIR – International Road Transport) system, it will now be possible to transport goods to Central Asia directly through Iran, bypassing Afghanistan.

* This new corridor will ensure much shorter, safer and more modern transportation facilities than before.

* As part of achieving this milestone, the first shipment of meat containers from Karachi to Tashkent has already been sent to Uzbekistan.

* NLC is currently working on activating multiple trade corridors with China, Iran and Central Asian countries.
