Israel issues 9293 red alerts in 60 days
A total of 9,293 “red alerts” have been issued inside Israel in the past 60 days of the Israel-Iran-Hezbollah war. These were warnings of missiles, drones and other attacks coming from all over the country.
On average, about 155 alerts have been issued per day, more than 6 per hour, or an average of one alert every 9 minutes and 17 seconds.
In comparison, there were a total of 1,430 alerts in the previous 12 days of the Israel-Iran war—an average of one alert every 12 minutes. This is about a 23% higher alert rate this time.
Of the total alerts, about 6,620 were for rocket attacks. Even after the ceasefire, 404 rocket alerts were issued, mostly from Hezbollah.
In addition, 2,669 alerts were due to enemy drone intrusions. Most of which were Hezbollah attacks in northern Israel.
However, the situation changed somewhat after the ceasefire with Iran took effect.
From April 8 to April 16, alerts decreased to 748. An average of 3.46 per hour, or one every 17 minutes. This means that the alert rate decreased by about 46.5% after Iran withdrew from the war.
A time-based analysis showed that the alert rate was highest between 6 p.m. and 4 a.m., almost double that of the daytime.
In contrast, the alert rate was relatively low between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.
