The entry of ships carrying cargo related to military ships into Hormuz is prohibited.
Iran has imposed several strict conditions on the passage of ships through the Strait of Hormuz.
The conditions:
1/ Only commercial ships will be allowed to pass. Military ships or ships carrying cargo related to “enemy countries” are prohibited from entering.
2/ All ships must use specific routes designated by Iran, which act as controlled corridors.
3/ Coordination with Iranian authorities is mandatory before and during the passage of the strait. No ship will be allowed to pass without permission.
With these conditions, Iran has effectively introduced a “controlled access system” in the Strait of Hormuz, where movement is not completely open but rather permission-based.
